NILP VISIT TO KOREA AND ITS ACTIVITIES IN 2011

According to the invitation of Korea Occupational Safety and Health Association (KOSHA), the delegation of National Institute of Labour Protection (NILP) including Prof. Dr. Le Van Trinh-General Director of NILP and Dr. Pham Van Hai – Director of Environmental science and Sustainable development center belonging to NILP, visited Korea from March 27th to April 02nd 2011. In seven days, the delegation carried out the main activities as follows:

* To have meeting with the leader board of KOSHA on some key issues: expert exchange and cooperating research.

* To have meeting with the training centre of KOSHA, to visit virtual –reality theatre and other laboratories of KOSHA such as: Vibration lab, Safety helmet lab, safety- belt lab, mask lab, fire –proof materials lab, etc.

* To visit Samsung company, one of leading industrial corporations in Korea implementing OSH management and environmental protection with good results.

* To have meeting with the professors of Kyung Hee University, one of the leading universities in Korea. NILP and Kyung Hee University discussed about education demand and capacities of each part.

* To have meeting with Korea Railway Research Institute (KRRI) and its center of environment research, a leading research unit about traffic environment in Korea. NILP’s delegation has been introduced the KRRI’s results in general and environmental research results in particular.

In spite of short-day visit, NILP’s delegation has got a lot of good achievements. In 2011, NILP and KOSHA have enhanced OSH co-operations in which they focus on expert exchange and OSH bilateral research.
