APOSHO 27 Conference in Cebu city, Philippines
The first APOSHO Annual Conference took place in Singapore in August 1985 by the suggestion of chairperson of the National Safety Council of Australia. Representatives from the Safety Councils of India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore attended and founded the Orgenization initially called the “the Coordinating Committee of Asia-Pacific National Safety Councils” and later in 1992 renamed as now at the 8th Annual Conference. Members as of 2012: 37 organizations from 26 different countries. Every year, APOSHO holds annual conference by turns on voluntary basis.
On September 18th to 21st 2012, all roads converge at Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City for the 27th Annual Conference of the Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO) hosted by the Association of Safety Practitioners of the Philippines, Inc. (ASPPI). The discussions during the APOSHO 27 Conference focus on the theme “Safety and Health In The Workplace: A Shared Value Across Regions”.

At this Annual General Meeting (AGM) Dr Prof Nguyen An Luong is recognized as honour member of APOSHO. The honour members are those who have significant contribution to the his/her country and APOSHO in OSH field. The Secretary General raises an issue of proposal from organization members to the post of Secretary General for the next term, 2013-2014. Mr Chi-Ming Law also announced the next APOSHO conferences which will take place in the following countries:
– APOSHO 28 in Indonesia in 2013;
– APOSHO 29 in HongKong in 2014;
– APOSHO 30 in Korea in 2015;
– APOSHO 31 in India in 2016;
– APOSHO 32 in Singapore in 2017 and
– APOSHO 33 in England in 2018.
