The 17 OSH Network annual conference

The national network was established basing on the voluntariness of combination, equality and mutual benefit. The conference is organized annually to assess the achievement and enhance the information exchange, experience sharing in the field of OSH in order to promote the co-operation among network’s members for the purpose of preventing and reducing occupational accidents and diseases, ensuring worker safety and health.

At the conference, participants had chance to hear reports on achievements and shortcomings from the three organizations. The conference acknowledged ideas of endeavor of maintaining and promoting the activities on disseminating OSH through newsletters, magazines and online information. This helps to set up a forum which sharing, exchanging mutil-direction and abundant information in order to support policy makers and other users. Besides, proposals and shortcomings from enterprises while implementing OSH and fire fighting activities at organizations are also presented in order to find out solutions. Shortcomings of OSH network include:

 –       Having strict co-ordination among members of the network;

–       Concretizing the responsibility, obligation and also benefit of the members;

–       Diversifying network’s activities to promote the cooperation relationship among members;

–       Reforming OSH information exchange and access methods to forecast and meet the need of social development.

 There are many difficulties occur currently such as economic fluctuations, skilled labour shortage, new kind of jobs with high risk and hazards affecting worker’s health so that activities to promote OSH in general and national OSH network in particular are really important and needed to have concerns from authorities and society to improve working condition, perfect legal document system and ensure the right and legitimate benefit for workers.
