Plan for implementation of 2025 OSH Action month

On November 11, 2024, the Central Steering Committee for the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Action Month issued Plan No. 5771/KH-BCĐTU on implementing the OSH Action Month in 2025.

In order to improve prevention and strengthen the responsibilities of employers in self-inspection, assessment and control of occupational safety and health risks, and limit occupational accidents and diseases, the 2025 OSH Action Month was launched with the theme “Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and proactive implementation of measures to ensure OSH at workplace”.

The 2025 OSH Action Month will be held from May 1-31, 2025 nationwide. The launching ceremony of the 2025 OSH Action Month is scheduled to be held on the morning of Friday, April 25, 2025.

The 2025 OSH Action Month focuses on implementing the following activities:

– Promote information and communication activities on occupational safety and health to create interest and a clear change in awareness and compliance with the law in ensuring occupational safety and health at all levels, sectors, enterprises and establishments.

– Focus on improving working conditions and preventing occupational accidents and diseases; strengthen the review, assessment and control of occupational safety and health risks, especially in the use of machinery, equipment, substances and workplaces with strict requirements on occupational safety and health.

– Organize dialogues and answer questions about policies and difficulties in occupational safety and health at all levels to promote the implementation of occupational safety and health laws in an orderly and effective manner.

– Focus on training, guidance, coaching and training on occupational safety and health for managers at all levels, employers and employees; organize conferences and professional seminars on current outstanding issues in occupational safety and health; propaganda on initiatives to improve working conditions, promote the building of a safe working culture, a Green – Clean – Beautiful working environment, ensuring occupational safety and health.

– Promote self-inspection, inspection and examination in a number of industries and fields where many occupational accidents occur such as mining, mechanics, construction, electricity, working in confined spaces, in the use of machines, equipment, materials, substances with strict requirements on occupational safety and health, etc.

In addition to the above contents, ministries, branches and units organize activities to visit and give gifts to victims and families of victims of occupational accidents and diseases to promptly share the losses and encourage families to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives; at the same time, associated with promoting communication activities on the consequences caused by occupational accidents and diseases to warn and propagate to the community, businesses and workers.
