SOME ACTIVITIES OF VOSHA
Assessing results after a year of achieving the targets made since the second Plenum in May, 2010 until now, the president of VOSHA Prof. Nguyen An Luong claimed : “VOSHA has actively and exertingly accomplish specific and practical goals, completed and gained outstandingly excellent results in defending a ministrial-level subject named: “Study on promoting policies and solutions to assure safety and prevent work-related accidents and occupational diseases for artists working in circuses, dancing troupes and theaters”. When consulting, defending, and social examine, VOSHA has given advices for drafting some official documents, including the National Program on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the period of 2010 – 2015, some drafting circular letters with technical standards on OSH; held seminars to exchange opinions and published overall consulting documents training policies on occupational safety and health.
With the tasks on informing, propagating, training and promoting knowledge, VOSHA has organized two training courses for employers, managers and people working on OSH; conducted and cooperated with other offices to run national conferences on different subjects.
The work of VOSHA’s branches in provinces is keeping improving.
In 2011, VOSHA sets up 11 specific tasks, and emphasizing on expanding new members, innovating the content and methods of working, encouraging actions on scientific tasks; consulting, defending and social examining on OSH tasks, as well as informing, propagating, and training on OSH; puts the Association website into actions and keeps publishing Safety and Health Magazine, and participate in Conference APOSHO-26, etc.
On this occasion, the Executive committee voted to select the new Secretary-General.
