ABSTRACT
Aiming to improve working condition preventing the risk of silicosis and of hearingloss diseases for workers in operation of cleaning metal surface by sandblasting from shipbuilding industry in Vietnam at present, the National Institute of Labour Protection has carried out a study on designing, manufacturing and testing the sandblasting mobile robot replacing workers on this operation, in period of time 2007-2009.
In order to be satisfied to the requirement on flexibility of the sandblasting mobile robot, the robot model was studied and designed from integration of four modules: carrier module M1, manipulation module M2, control module M3 and positioning observation module M4.
