ABSTRACT
Follow to the trend of integration and globalization, especially when Vietnam has joined to World Trade Organization (WTO), it is necessary to observe regulations and principles of international conventions which had and will have been approved by Vietnam, in order to make an access for goods and products of Vietnam into the world market. One of those principles is standards and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in which the most important contents are activities on occupational safety and health, environmental protection and fire prevention. Basing on the results of surveying CSR implementation at 73 small and medium enterprises of mechanical and consumer products branches in 3 regions of the North, the Central and the South of the country, the authors, with appropriated approaching measures, had researched to establish a code of conducts with 12 clauses in social responsibility standards for some kinds of small and medium enterprises. The code of conducts had been introduced, applied experimentally in 3 enterprises with the first results achieved that the turnover, productivity and income of employees of those 3 enterprises were increased. Working condition of employees was also improved.
