ABSTRACT
Effective lighting system should create a visual environment and ensure visibility for every one for convenient moving, performing works with accuracy, effectiveness and safety not causing annoyance and eyes fatigue.
To have a good lighting installation, both quantity and quality of lighting should be considered equally. Ensuring sufficient illumination for every activity is necessary, but in many circumstance visibility and visual perception also depend on lighting distribution in space, colour of the surfaces and light sources as well as glare caused for eyes in the visual field.
Lighting requirements and measures for some type of works and activities are presented as orientation examples for reference.
