A preliminary study evaluating the hazards of chemical reactions by CHETAH software

Evaluation of chemical reaction hazards is an essential demand for design and safe operation of the plant in the chemical manufacturing process. The use of software and screening methods in research helps reduce the number of experiments and save time and money. With CHETAH software, the researchers have evaluated the thermal hazards of Ankyd plastic’s general reaction, making the premise for assessing the chemical reactions dangers in industrial production and helping the calculation and designing in storage and transport, in order to minimize risks.

The article was published in the Safety – Health & Working Environment numbers 1, 2 & 3/2013 of the National Institute of Labour Protection.
